Friction Disc Clutches

Our friction disc clutches rival any blueprint in the industry. We have “toasted" our share of clutches to determine the best and most durable blueprint for the clutch for each class. We use innovative tooling in making surfaces "straight" and pick the right parts in making the clutch the best you can get.

Look at what we do to the friction disc clutches:

1. Season the clutch and all components through a special process

2. True the floater and the friction discs on mating surfaces

3. True the pressure plate, drive hub and backing plates on precision cylindrical grinders. Run out is less than .001”! When all parts are trued up, the result is awesome.

4. Than we leave a unique finish in order to have the best possible contact between the friction disc and the floater with the least amount of wear during break-in.

5. Establish consistent spring tension on clutch springs to ensure consistent engagement
