What makes the Rock Star Different?

Besides the unique design features that make the Rock Star different, the materials that we chose to build the clutch with also make it different. We made our own friction discs with a material different than what is currently available. We chose the steel to match the friction materials and did extensive testing on clutch slip and acceleration rates versus other clutches. Why is it so different?

I have a Horstman clutch now. Can I use the drivers for my Horstman on the new Rock Star?

The Rock Star clutch comes with baskets for wide or narrow sprockets so yes. When ordering, specify basket type that you need.

Can I buy the clutch and use the basket I have already?

Yes. Most any 8 tab style basket will fit the Rock Star. We have a part number for ordering the clutch without the basket. If you have a rebuild from us in the past with a gold colored basket, you can use it. Just make sure that you have the proper spacing between the clutch and the snap ring.
